The Planning Process and Parks Design Team

The planning process is being led by a community and stakeholder group called the Parks Design Team (PDT). The Parks Design Team is made up of community members, park users, and other stakeholders who will help identify needs, explore uses, and review concepts and design proposals throughout the planning process. The Parks design team will meet about every month and will also attend additional activities and public engagement opportunities scheduled throughout the planning process. The Parks Design Team meetings and activities are open to the public.

The Kincade Fire and evacuation of Healdsburg forced the cancellation of the EXPLORIUM events. City and design team staffs are in the process of reshaping the community engagement process and expect to relaunch the process in late January or early February 2020.

Review and feedback on preliminary master plan concepts for the Montage development park, Badger Park, and River Access.

September 1, 2021: Parks and Recreation Commission Review #2

Review proposed master plan concepts for the Montage development park, Badger Park, and River Access and recommendation to City Council. (Note: this meeting was rescheduled from August 11.)

September 20, 2021: City Council Review

Review and feedback on proposed master plan concepts for the Montage development park, Badger Park, and River Access.
