The City will issue a contract to construct a flood protection berm and associated facilities at its wastewater treatment plant, the Water Reclamation Facility (Water Reclamation Facility Flood Mitigation Project (Project)). The Project area is approximately 2.5 acres including the construction area, staging area and borrow area. the Project is funded under a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant. The grant application was reviewed by the FEMA Environmental and historic Preservation team in consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which identified activities required that are to be conducted by a U.S. fish and Wildlife Service, Sacramento Fish and Wildlife Office approved biologist.
The City of Healdsburg (City) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide biological monitoring services during the construction of the Project. Services will include conducting preconstruction biological surveys, training of the work crew and project management teams on environmental/biological awareness, conducting periodic site reviews, and providing on-site assistance with species encounters.
