Graph of Water Usage in Healdsburg of the last four years

Conservation Levels – The above graph shows citywide water usage from June 10 through June 16 in years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. The City is using this metric to monitor citywide water conservation efforts in achieving the goal of reducing water usage to 40%. Over this period, water usage fell 36% when compared to 2020 water usage numbers.  Healdsburg’s has stepped up and made a great collective effort in saving water!

Recycled Water Update

The city is very close to launching a residential recycled water hauling program. This program would deliver up to 500 gallons per residential water customer each week. Residents are responsible for sourcing or purchasing their own storage tanks, totes, or barrels. Storage tanks should be placed no more than 75 ft from the front property line to allow for deliveries. Residents are also responsible for the equipment necessary to apply the recycled water to their landscaping (hoses and piping). Residents can email the City at conservation@ci.healdsburg.ca.us and provide address, contact information, and size of their storage tanks. The City if finalizing the contract for hauling recycled water and plans to have deliveries underway within two weeks.

Since May 15, 2021 the City of Healdsburg has reclaimed 23.6 millions gallons of recycled water. Of this, 1.2 million gallons has been hauled to offset potable water use, 1.7 million gallons was piped for dust control and other industrial uses, 7.2 million gallons was used for agriculture needs offsetting pumping of natural ground water, and 10.6 million gallons is being stored for future use.

Foss Creek Pathway Closure

Foss Creek Pathway Detour Map

Foss Creek Pathway will be closed between Grant Street and Grove Street from Monday, June 21, to Wednesday, June 23, from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM so a temporary pathway can be built to keep the pathway open during construction of the Foss Creek Pathway Segments 7 and 8 Project.

Northbound pedestrians will be detoured via Grant Street to Healdsburg Avenue to Dry Creek Road to Grove Street. Southbound pedestrians will be detoured to Grove Street to Dry Creek Road to Healdsburg Avenue to Grant Street. Cyclists may alternatively use Grant Street and Grove Street.

This project will extend the Foss Creek Pathway along the North Coast Railroad Authority Railroad right-of-way from the flood-control detention basin by the Carson Warner Memorial Skate Park north to the intersection of Grove Street and Healdsburg Avenue. Once this project is complete, there will be a dedicated pedestrian and cyclist path from northern Healdsburg near the community center to the southern end of Healdsburg.

Please observe and adhere to construction area signage and traffic control. We appreciate your patience. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Senior Engineer Clay Thistle at (707) 431-3391 or cthistle @ cityofhealdsburg.org.
