Cooling Center Image

The City will open two cooling centers Monday, August 17, through Wednesday, August 19, from 11 AM to 6 PM. We will continue to monitor the weather and extend the days and hours of the cooling centers if necessary.

The cooling centers will be located here:

• City Hall Council Chamber (401 Grove Street)

• Senior Center (133 Matheson)

More details:

• In light of COVID-19, please check in at the check-in table for a wellness screening.

• We will adhere to physical-distancing and mask-wearing protocols. We will tape off 8’ separation boxes to allow for appropriate physical distancing and face masks will be required. We will have some extra face masks if you don’t have one. Hand sanitizer stations will also be available.

• Restrooms will be available.

• Cool water will be available.

• Pets are welcome.

• Power strips will be available if you need to charge your device.

• Please note that if we reach capacity, we may need to impose time limits so everyone can have access to the cooling centers.
