[ARCHIVED] Annual Weed Abatement Inspections

Weed abatement inspections start April 11th within the City limits. We realize more rain may be on the way but it is a process that we have to start in April so that in July we have a mechanism in place to abate nuisance properties when fire season starts. So your name may be on a list and you may receive a letter in May that was from inspections completed in April. Almost 300 residents receive the letter for a small amount of properties that need to be abated. There will be detailed information on the letter on how to abate your property. This program has been in place for over 15 years and has been successful. Residents in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) check to make sure you have created a defensible space. Please see the CONSTRUCTION AND DEFENSIBLE SPACE STANDARDS WITHIN
DESIGNATED FIRE SEVERITY ZONES by selecting the link below. Thank you for your understanding.
