Public-Smoking Policies

Changes to Public-Smoking Policies Include Ban on Smoking in Multi-Unit Family Dwellings

The City of Healdsburg has updated its regulations on public smoking. Changes to the municipal code ban smoking in multi-unit dwellings, such as apartment complexes, as well as within hotel and motel rooms.

The updates also note that electronic devices such as vaporizers and e-cigarettes are not allowed to be used in multi-unit family dwellings or in the places listed below. The Healdsburg City Council approved these changes to the City’s public-smoking policies on May 6, 2019.

Previously, the City’s municipal code stated that smoking is banned in public places like bars and restaurants, childcare facilities, polling places, buses, taxicabs and other means of public transportation, and the public areas of retail stores, banks, hotels and motels, and other offices. All of these places remain smoke-free.
