The City of Healdsburg is in the process of updating the Housing Element of the City’s General Plan to ensure that we’re prepared to meet the housing needs of Healdsburg in the next eight years. Under State law, every City and County in California is required to update its Housing Element to address specific requirements and submit the element to the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
The Housing Element serves as Healdsburg’s blueprint for meeting the housing needs of our current and future residents and workforce, including people living at all economic levels and those with unique or specific housing needs.
Participation from the community is vital to ensure that Healdsburg’s values are identified and articulated in the Housing Element, and that the City’s approach provides the best fit for the community’s goals and priorities.
UPDATED as of 2/1/2023
Based on additional comments from the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), the City has prepared a revised draft Housing Element.
The Revised draft is available below.
Please provide comments on the revised draft by Wednesday, February 8, 2023. You may send any comments on the revised draft to housingelement@healdsburg.gov or directly to the HCD at HousingElements@hcd.ca.gov.
