Adoption Draft Housing Element
The City of Healdsburg is in the process of updating the Housing Element of the City’s General Plan to ensure that we’re prepared to meet the housing needs of Healdsburg in the next eight years. Under State law, every City and County in California is required to update its Housing Element to address specific requirements and submit the element to the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
The Housing Element serves as Healdsburg’s blueprint for meeting the housing needs of our current and future residents and workforce, including people living at all economic levels and those with unique or specific housing needs.
Participation from the community is vital to ensure that Healdsburg’s values are identified and articulated in the Housing Element, and that the City’s approach provides the best fit for the community’s goals and priorities.
UPDATED as of 4/6/2023
The Adoption Draft of the City of Healdsburg's Housing Element is now available for review and for comments. The Adoption Draft of the Housing Element will be heard by the Healdsburg Planning Commission on April 11, 2023 and by the Healdsburg City Council on May 1, 2023.
The Adoption Draft of the Housing Element outlines the proposed policies, strategies and programs to be implemented in the 6th Cycle Planning period from 2023-2030. The Adoption Draft represents an important stage in the planning process, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback and ensure that the final adopted version reflects the needs and priorities of the community.
